"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." - Wayne Dyer
The last time I was at the Bean was about 4 years ago when I first visited Chicago from Michigan. It's funny how I've never done any touristy stuff ever since I moved to Chicago a year and a half ago until yesterday.
Looking at The Bean from various positions, I realized that there is no right way to look at it. It is meant to be looked at from any and every angle. Likewise in life, you need to look at it from different perspectives.
Looking at things from different points of view can increase your creativity and imagination. This will help in solving a problem, brainstorming a solution, writing a book, writing a song or even answering an exam question.
This reminds me of a Disney animation I watched a year ago called Big Hero 6.
In one of its scenes, Tadashi, the older brother picks up his younger brother, Hiro and holds him upside-down to help him look for a new angle in his problem. Tadashi is trying to help Hiro enter Callahan's advanced college but Hiro is struggling to see a problem he could solve.
Are you looking at things from another angle? Could you look at something differently and discover a new solution to a problem?
If you have been looking at a particular problem the same way, change the way you look at it. You will be surprised at what you could think of!
